Status of the Evaluation - Swiss Romanian Cooperation Program - NGO Block Grant, 1st Round of Call for Proposals 2012
The evaluation process regarding the projects received under the NGO Block Grant is still on-going, getting close to an end during this month.
The tentative date for announcing the results is mid April 2013, taking into account that the Steering Committee meeting, that approves the evaluation report, will take place in the 2nd half of March 2013.
Each applicant will receive a letter about the result of the evaluation regarding their own project. The list of the awarded projects will be posted on the websites of the SIB members after the Activity Agreements/grant contracts were signed.
The consortium formed by KEK-CDC Consultants (www.kek.ch), Civil Society Development Foundation (www.fdsc.ro) and Romanian Environmental Partnership Foundation (www.repf.ro) was selected as Swiss Intermediate Body for managing and administrating the Thematic Fund for Civil Society Participation.
The objective of the NGO Block Grant is to strengthen Romanian NGOs and to enable their active participation in policy processes both as the voice of civil society and as a service provider and to promote activities of the CSOs primarily tackling environmental issues, contributing to the provision of social services as well as allowing for strengthening their organizational capacities. The first Call for Proposals was launched on May 10, 2012 and the deadline for submitting applications was July 12, 2012.
Through this grant scheme CHF 2,000,000 were made available for social projects and CHF 600,000 for environmental projects.
